Fully Prepared Meals
Nutrition and time management are important factors in keeping stress at bay, however enjoying what you are eating is just as important as the nutritional value. Balanced Chef prides itself on providing mouth-watering entrée option by combining fresh ingredients in traditional and trendsetting recipes to ensure maximum enjoyment for every palate. Working with local farmers and businesses, Shandra sources all produce and protein locally, seasonally and sustainably.
From early beginnings, working in the kitchen is something Shandra had been passionate about. “I remember cooking my first batch of scrambled eggs at 8 years old, and being thrilled, preparing Christmas dinner for my family at 14, and tuning into the Food Network early Saturday mornings instead of watching cartoons.”
Following her love for food, she enrolled in Fanshawe College’s Chef Training Program, and continued into Nutrition Management. While attending school she worked as a server at various restaurants throughout London.
Her experience in restaurants, dealing face to face with customers had inspired her to start a business where people could enjoy fully prepared meals made with quality ingredients, and not just on special occasions. These meals would be eaten at home, and be so nutritious they could be eaten every night of the week.
Meals are served refrigerated and in microwave-safe packaging.
We deliver all throughout London PLUS: St.Thomas, Mt. Brydges, Komoka, Dorchester, Thorndale, and Ingersoll.
In these beginning stages delivery will be available only on Tuesday’s between 4pm and 7pm.
If nobody is home packages will be left on the front step or a designated spot indicated by the customer when ordering their meals.

Meals must be kept at a minimum of 4 degrees Celsius until the time of consumption. Food should be eaten within 3 days of packaging date. Meals not containing raw foods can be stored in the freezer for up to 1 month. Completely thaw meals before reheating for best results.
The most convenient way to reheat Balanced Chef’s meals is in the microwave. Remove lid and replace it on the container so it is not fully sealed and steam can escape. Microwave on medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes for individual meals, add on 1 minutes for every additional portion.
For best results reheat meals over the stove top or in the oven. If pasta, rice or un-breaded protein is on the dry side, add a splash of water and cover with a lid or tin foil to reheat.
When deciding how much food you should order, the number of meals you are adding to your cart is the number of portions you will be receiving. 1 portion is filling for 1 adult, children 12 and under may share their meals or keep leftovers for a second meal.
